A bit about me

I am Bela! I live & am a student in Portland, Oregon, but I am from Sacramento, California (think Ladybird). I am 21 years old, and I have been writing since a past life…My first publication, The Magic Cats, was laminated and my proudest accomplishment at the age of six, until I won the spelling bee in second grade. It was illustrated, and had much cat conversation and a new cat character every other sentence.

I spend my time walking, playing with my cat, reading, scribbling down words until they go together, watercoloring, reading tarot, rearranging rooms, and making coffee and tea that I forget about until it gets cold (among other things).

This newsletter documents my relationship with writing, and with conversing with readers. I didn’t begin the page with any true intents or goals, but every time I recieve feedback on a piece, every time somebody expresses any sort of ressonance, the intent of publishing my work becomes clear.
